Our communities are stronger and healthier when we properly care for those who built them. Our broken healthcare system has worsened the cycle of poverty for aging populations, as long term care and the ability to stay in their communities, are not covered by many insurance providers. For our neighborhoods to thrive we must create provisions that allow all generations to participate in their communities. This is why I support measures that allow seniors to “age in place” and receive the care they need at a price they can afford, within the neighborhoods they have helped build.

This is why I pledge to:

  • Work on zoning reform and housing legislation that allows for our families to “age in place.”
  • Pass healthcare reform that provides access to long term care.
