Now more than ever we must work to protect our friends and neighbors. Immigrants make our communities stronger and more vibrant and we should protect that diversity and energy by caring for those who need us to reach out. The Speaker of the House and leadership have said that now is the time for education around immigration reform, but I believe that now is the time for action. We have an opportunity to show that we as Baystaters will not tolerate separating families or treating humans as “illegal.”

This is why I pledge to:

  • Pass the Safe Communities act today!
  • Support in state tuition for all Massachusetts residents, despite immigration status.
  • Provide clear pathways for all residents to receive essential services such as healthcare, education, drivers licenses and jobs regardless of immigration status.
